LEGG-CALVE’-PERTHES DISEASE

HD is unfortunately very common in Griffons. As the Griffon is not as heavy in weight, this breed is not so much bothered by HD in minor degrees as the larger and heavier breeds. A heavy case of HD in a Griffon is as painful as in any other breed and we have the responsibility to make sure this painful defect will not get even worse than it already is. It is recommended to X-ray your dogs at the age of 18 months, this way we can inventory this defect in our breed.
